Why EFI are needed
In many post-transition countries, people are navigating rapid economic change without enough opportunities to engage with clear, practical economic education. EFI was founded in 2019 to expand access to accessible, unbiased economic learning by translating and adapting Common Sense Economics into local languages and making it freely available. Since then, our work has grown in scope and reach, guided by the same mission.
Our focus: post-communist countries outside the EU with young, educated populations and significant natural resources.
EFI drives impact through:
- A regional network of local partners
- An expanding learning library with articles, videos, games, and more
- Teacher and influencer training
